Best cafe around town and very affordable. The pancakes are fantastic and I suggest to get the real syrup rather than the fake syrup. They have one of the best lunch options and burgers around boothbay during the summer I definitely look forward to come back to blue moon cafe!

A group of us ate here for lunch last week. We were all quite hungry and we looking for something along the water to have nice leisurely lunch. We found it here. Our cashier was a nice\ youg lady, perhaps late teens, who was polite, helpful and quite the worker (she also cleaned all the tables on the back deck and wished us all a very cheerful goodbye when we were leaving). The lady behind her, who was apparently the cook, suffered what hopfully was only a brain fart. We arrived at 2:15, fifteen minutes before the posted closing time of 2:30. When walked in the wide open door, she exclaimed to know one in particular "hey its quarter to three!", to which the lovely cashier respond "No it's not, that clock is wrong!". Note to lady cook: That's not something you should shout out in front of your customers, even it you were right. The fact that you were wrong makes you look like even more of a doofus. Your cashier just saved your day not to mention an order from five hungry people. On to the food! I got a nice cheeseburger and my wife got the quesadilla. Both were tasty and fresh. I think the drink could have been a few ounces larger, but not too bad nonetheless. The rest of our group also enjoyed their food as well, although I can't recall what they ordered. The view was probably the highlight of the day. We sat out on the back deck so we weren't on the harbor, or next to the harbor, we were literally sitting over the harbor! I will try to post a picture of our view from our ourdoor table, but at the moment I don't see the link to do so. In short, nice place with a great view, and cook who needs to think before she speaks.

Visited Boothbay for a wedding and my friends and I wanted to grab a quick lunch. The place was on the smaller side, but they were able to seat all 8 of us. There was a mix up with our order ( our fault not theirs). Food came out quickly. I had a turkey melt with chips and coleslaw. The coleslaw wasn't loaded with mayo which I was glad about. The sandwich was pretty good too. Great customer serI wouldn't mind stopping in again the next time I'm in Boothbay!

My husband and I went here for breakfast this morning and it was the best breakfast we've had all week! The Blueberry pancakes and sausage were delicious and the veggie (broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes) omelette with home fries (sweet potato and white) was very tasty! The gentlemen behind the counter were soo amazingly nice that our meal could have tasted awful and we would've walked out smiling anyway!! Thanks guys!

We went for lunch. They make the worst clam chowder I have ever had. It was thin, lacked flavor and substance. My first cup came with one potato chunk and no clams. I returned it to the kitchen and they gave me back the same bowl with only more potato. Worst soup ever!

We went there for Lunch.. some people talked about the prices below, well for lunch they are great! To be fair though, we didn't consider any seafood, so I can't speak to that, but I don't remember them being expensive. This area is expensive in general, however for $7.55, I got a Chicken Satay wrap filled with veggies and homemade peanut satay sauce, chips, pickle and Coleslaw. My significant other got a tomato, pesto and fresh mozzarella sandwich on french bread with chips, pickle and coleslaw for $6.25 and we sat on their deck overlooking the water. How is that overpriced anywhere??? Subway would be more expensive! LOL.. Anyway the food was all very good, and we really enjoyed the friendliness of this place. We would certainly go back next time in town. Great stuff!

We ate here twice during our 4 day stay in Boothbay Harbor. I need gluten free options and they had many (maybe think about a GF blueberry muffin?). My mom thought their muffins were the best in town. Really nice owners and so accommodating. Food was very good, too.

We had breakfast there on our way out of BBH. Food was great (4 adults) we all enjoyed our meal and will visit again next time we return to BBH.

Blue Moon is right on the harbor and offers deck seating with a fun view of the tour boats coming and going... near continual lines and a lack of seating detract from this a bit... The food is as overpriced as the rest of Boothbay and the quality is just okay... not your absolute worst choice to get a bite while wandering through town...

The clam chowder was literally milk with clams in it, nothing composed about this soup. A crappy clam chowder in Maine is a crying shame. We also ordered crab quesadilla and a crab sandwich. Though they were good enough, the quesadilla was crispy on the outside and the crab seemed fresh though unexceptional, the price was a real shocker. They were 15 dollars (or more, I can't remember the exact price). The black board did not have an MP next to them and even if they'd covered this not-so-minor detail, they should have informed us of just how expensive they'd be (more than any of the lobster rolls I had in the area) before we paid in case we didn't want to have a $48 lunch. On the plus side, the side salad was very fresh and had crunchy carrots, red onion, and a nice dressing. I really don't know what went wrong with the clam chowder - or the price - but I would be writing a different review if either were more palatable.

With our stop in Boothbay Harbor being a week before most restaurants open for the season our options were limited. Fortunately we found Blue Moon for breakfast. Good blueberry pancakes (with real maple syrup for an extra charge). A really good blueberry muffin. And the day we were in they had a homemade corned beef hash special which was excellent. I wish we'd found this place earlier, and it is definitely on our list for any future visits to Boothbay Harbor.

The Blue Moon cafe is on the harbor and has inside and outside seating. The food was a little pricey for what you get. I had corned beef hash and a poached egg. Not a lot of food and the hash was not the type I really like. We started with some bloody marys that were fair at least they had celery in them.

The food ok. The charm of this little place was the seating overlooking the harbor and the friendly staff.

Had breakfast on our way out of town this morning and it was fabulous. The cinnamon pecan french toast was delicious! There's a cute covered deck overlooking the harbor, cozy indoor space and street side tables. Friendly service, good coffee and nice view. I'd go back next time I'm in town.

I really liked this place. Surprised others rated so low. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere was nice and food was delicious. My girls shared a Cobb sandwich thought it was "the best". We had your standard lobster rolls but they were quite tasty and priced similar to surrounding area. This is a touristy spot so prices will reflect that. Would recommend.

Nice little deck on a sunny day, but wayyyyy overpriced for what you get. When someone else is cooking and I'm paying for it, I like to see some variety, something that looks and smells and tastes good...something I don't usually have at home. Their breakfast menu is fine, but $8 for a smoked salmon bagel, and $5 for 2 eggs? C'mon already.
